I always get impressed when I see horsemen riding. In Spain, one can see them more often. The horse is such a marvelous creature, with sparkling eyes and vigorous posture. Do not compare with taxi horses.

The man riding the horse...it could be my friend and I know him very well in every day's life...now he is on the horseback, and I can barely recognize him! He is changed...with his Cordoba hat, sitting very erect, with a great pride to be a man...or a man and a half. In this painting, I rather emphasized the power of the horse...a great white horse.
